Welcome to
Legacy Pilates
Pontyclun’s first Reformer Pilates Studio in South Wales
At Legacy Pilates, we believe that movement is the foundation of a long and vibrant life. We’re creating a space where all bodies feel safe, strong, and seen - where Pilates is functional, accessible, and genuinely inspiring.
Who We Are
Legacy Pilates was born from a simple belief: that movement belongs to everyone.
We've created a space where all ages, shapes, and backgrounds are not just welcomed — they're celebrated. We believe Pilates should be functional, accessible, and genuinely life-changing, whether you're stepping onto a reformer for the first time or deepening a lifelong practice.

Our Sessions
-
Small group classes designed to work for every body. Using Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers, our sessions focus on functional movement — building real strength, mobility, and control. Whether you're brand new to Pilates or a seasoned mover, you'll find a class that meets you where you are.
-
For those who want more focused attention, our duos and private sessions offer a personalised approach to your movement practice. Work at your own pace, address specific goals, and build confidence in a supportive, one-to-one or two-to-one setting.
-
Recovery is part of the work. Our contrast therapy sessions pair heat and cold exposure to reduce inflammation, support muscle recovery, and leave you feeling reset. A simple, effective addition to your training — or a session all on its own.
Book a Class

Go a little bit out of your depth and when you don’t feel your feet are quite touching the bottom you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Do I need experience to join a class?
Not at all. Our classes are designed to welcome complete beginners and experienced movers alike. If it's your first time on a reformer, we'll make sure you feel comfortable and confident before you get started.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in. Grip socks are required for all reformer classes — these can be purchased at the studio if you don't have a pair. Just bring yourself and some water.
How is Legacy Pilates different from a regular gym or yoga studio?
Reformer Pilates uses a spring-based resistance machine that supports and challenges your body in equal measure. It's low impact but deeply effective — building strength, improving posture, and increasing mobility in a way that works for all ages and body types. No prior fitness experience needed.
